Dear Canadian Country Music Fan,
Country Music Week is quickly approaching and I’m thrilled to be one of the top nominees at this year’s 2011 Canadian Country Music Association Country Music Awards®.
As the reigning 2010 CCMA Male Artist of the Year, I am incredibly honoured to be nominated again in that category, as well as for: Single of the Year, “My Daughter’s Father”, Songwriter(s) of the Year, “Put Some Alcohol on It”, and for CMT Video of the Year, “My Daughter’s Father”. I want to say thank you to all my fans for your support of my music and career. You inspire me to continue writing songs country fans can relate to and to stay true to creating real country music!
I invite you all to come to Hamilton, Ontario for Country Music Week 2011. There are many events for the public, including CCMA seminars, the Songwriters’ Café and the ever popular CCMA FanFest, where I’ll be performing on the roof of the Jackson Square Mall in downtown Hamilton. Hosted by CMT stars The Wilsons, this year's FanFest takes place Saturday, September 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. FanFest is presented by TD Bank Group with Official Community Sponsor, OLG, Event Sponsors CMT, HMV and host sponsor Jackson Square Mall.
Of course the finale to Country Music Week will be the CCMA Awards® show, broadcast LIVE on CBC Television from Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, on Monday, September 12, at 8:00 pm (8:30 p.m. NT). There will also be encore broadcasts on CMT. Tickets to the CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS broadcast, are currently on sale. Prices are $45.00, and $70.00 (plus taxes and surcharges) and can be purchased at all ticketmaster locations or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.
I’ve been busy performing at summer festivals from coast to coast, as well as finishing up my first Christmas CD which I will release this fall. Look for some traditional songs as well as songs I’ve written. I’m hoping it will become one of your favourite seasonal country albums.
Again, thank you for making my Day Job, one of the best jobs out there!
Kick Em Out!

What a wonderful idea of giving back to the 4-H program by assisting members in a campaign of selling Gord's CD'S and donating a portion back to the 4-H clubs. Our club was given the opportunity to sell CD's at one of Gord's recent concerts. Meeting Gord was a thrilling experience for our 4-H members and leaders for Renfrew County. Gord made time before his concert to personally greet us all, he was so personable and enthusiastic to meet the youth and listen to their 4-H experiences as well he shared his 4-H memories. What a fantastic evening!
